Sunday Worship

Today we pray for People who need you God, show them the way to a healthier life and comfort those who are homeless and need shelter from the cold winter days. 

Ezekiel 37:4-6

4 Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! 5 This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life. 6 I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’”

Lord God,

         You alone breathe life into all creation.   Where there is an illness that defies conventional healing and treatment, You can treat it.   When there is inconsolable sorrow, You bring comfort.  When we are lost and feeling alone or live in apathy, You find search for us, find us, remove our loneliness, and replace our apathy with compassion.  There are so many things for us to be thankful for, yet we confess that sometimes we are more wont to complain about what we don’t have rather than rejoice in the things we do.   The blessings that are too often overlooked, in our quest to fill the wants in our lives, instead of being content with the things we need and have.   Redeemer and Breath of Life, help us to find contentment in all things, and from this contentment the peace of Your love.   May this love and peace, spread out from us to help others in need.   May we seek the lost, and provide for their needs, for in so doing we are welcoming them into the family of the Living God, and perhaps we are providing the healing, comfort, compassion that is so desperately needed by them.    In Jesus’ name we pray.
